<h3>Listening Section:</h3>
<ul>
  <li>A reduction in the number of Photograph and Question Response questions</li>
  <li>An increase in the number of Conversation questions</li>
  <li>Conversations featuring shorter turns and increased exchanges</li>
  <li>Inclusion of conversations with more than two speakers</li>
  <li>Conversations incorporating elisions (e.g., "going to" becoming "gonna") and incomplete sentences/fragments (e.g., "Yes, in a minute," "Down the hall," "Could you?")</li>
  <li>New question types that test the connection between auditory content (conversation or talk) and visual content (graphic)</li>
  <li>New question types that assess a speaker's implied meaning within the context of a conversation or talk</li>
</ul>

<h3>Reading Section:</h3>
<ul>
  <li>A reduction in the number of Incomplete Sentence questions</li>
  <li>Inclusion of two new question types to evaluate understanding of the overall organization of passages:</li>
  <ol>
    <li>Text completion questions that require test-takers to select the most appropriate new sentence within the context of the passage</li>
    <li>Set-based questions that ask test-takers to determine where a given sentence belongs within the passage</li>
  </ol>
  <li>Text messages, instant messages, or online chat conversations involving multiple writers</li>
  <li>Questions that assess comprehension of three related texts</li>
  <li>A slight increase in the number of single- and multiple-passage questions</li>
  <li>New questions that focus on understanding the writer's intended meaning within context</li>
</ul>
